Introduction
Velo Media is a media downloader
application developed by Zierrow. This Privacy Policy explains how we
collect, use, and protect information when you use Velo on your
Android device.
By using Velo, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If
you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
Velo does not collect, store, or transmit any of the media files you
download. All downloaded content is saved directly to your device and
never passes through our servers.
2
Information We Collect
Velo itself does not collect personally identifiable information.
However, the third-party services integrated into the App may collect
the following:
-
Device identifiers — Android Advertising ID (AAID),
used by Google AdMob to serve and personalise advertisements.
-
Approximate location — Derived from IP address by
AdMob for geographically relevant advertisements. Precise GPS
location is never accessed.
-
App interaction data — How you interact with ads
(views, clicks), collected by AdMob.
-
Crash reports — Anonymous crash and performance
data collected by Google Play Services to improve app stability.
-
Purchase history — Your Velo Pro subscription
status, managed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive
or store your payment card details.
-
URLs you enter — URLs you paste into the App are
sent to our backend server solely to fetch media metadata (title,
thumbnail, available formats). We do not log or store these URLs.
3
How We Use Information
-
To provide core functionality — URLs are sent to
our server to extract media information and download links.
-
To display advertisements — AdMob uses device
identifiers and approximate location to show relevant ads to
free-tier users.
-
To process subscriptions — Google Play Billing
manages Velo Pro purchases ($4.99/month or $39.99/year).
Subscription status is verified with Google on each app launch.
-
To improve stability — Crash reports help us
identify and fix bugs.

Third-Party Services
Velo integrates the following third-party services, each governed by
their own privacy policies:
Google AdMob
Google Play Billing
Google Play Services
Velo Backend Server
Hosted on Render.com. Processes media extraction requests. No user
data is logged or stored. URLs are processed transiently and
discarded immediately.

Storage & Device Permissions
Velo requests the following device permissions:
-
Storage access — To save downloaded media to your
device and to read WhatsApp Status files for the Status Saver
feature. Files are only accessed locally and are never uploaded
anywhere.
-
Internet access — To communicate with our backend
server and third-party services.
-
Post notifications — To show download progress
notifications.
The WhatsApp Status Saver feature reads files from your device's
WhatsApp storage folder. These files are copied to your Downloads
folder on your request and are never transmitted off your device.
6
Data Retention
-
URLs submitted to our server — Processed in memory
and discarded immediately. Not logged, stored, or retained in any
form.
-
Download history — Stored locally on your device
only. Deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
-
Subscription status cache — Stored locally on your
device and re-verified with Google Play every 24 hours.
-
AdMob data — Governed by Google's data retention
policies.
7
Children's Privacy
Velo Media is not directed at
children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13
has used the App, please contact us at
udodirimwisdom@gmail.com
and we will take appropriate action.

Your Rights & Choices
-
Opt out of personalized ads — Open your device
Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
-
Reset Advertising ID — Settings → Google → Ads →
Reset Advertising ID.
-
Cancel subscription — Google Play Store →
Subscriptions → Velo Pro → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the
end of the current billing period.

there is no personal data held by Zierrow to request, export, or
delete beyond what is described above.
9
Security
Communications between the App and our backend server are encrypted
via HTTPS/TLS. Subscription verification is handled entirely by Google
Play's secure infrastructure. We do not store payment information of
any kind.
While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over
the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device and
operating system up to date.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we
will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued
use of Velo after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the
updated policy.
For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify
users through an in-app notice.
